Expertise

One thing that the public thinks the less about an architect is the expertise that he can offer and that is not, to the strict sense, from the architectural field.

Thus, the architect can, for example, help the lawyer in some reasons regarding the building:

    - Construction defects;
    - Faultiness of the building;
    - Water infiltrations;
    - Condensation;
    - Bad insulation;
    - Conformity to the regulation;
    - As many fields for whom
    the architect can act like expert and

    can counsel.

The same role can be filled directly by the owner, the purchaser, the lender, the insurance company...

In short, in a multitude of cases and situations, the knowledge and the architect's experience can quite constitute a circumstantial contribution.
